Verb Patterns

Some verbs are followed by infinitives while other verbs are followed by the -ing form. Verbs can also be followed by an object, a preposition and that.

I have added a link - Gerund and Infinitive Tutorial - to the Grammar section. I think it's worth reading the summaries and doing the exercises.

Are the following sentences right or wrong?
  1. What do you want that I do?
  2. I'd prefer going to the theatre than going to the opera.
  3. She enjoys to knit in her free time.
  4. He accused me to lie.
  5. My parents made me to come home by midnight.
  6. They started to get worried when she didn't call.
  7. I keep making the same mistake.
  8. His neighbour refused to turn down the music.
  9. I suggested to take the train to Barcelona.
  10. Let me to know as soon as you can.
  11. I offered to help her but she said she didn't need my help.
  12. I need improving my English.
  13. She advised me to talk to you.
  14. I arranged that I meet him next Thursday,
  15. I regret not to tell you before now.

Hi Sandra,

It's Graham. We say "I'm..." or "My name's..." when we meet someone for the first time. On the phone or here in the blog say "It's..." to say who's speaking.

Nº 12 is wrong too.

Now can you correct the mistakes?
