I´m going to come back to my english class in a couple of days. I´ll try to play the guitar more often this year. I´m looking forward to come back to my Martial Arts training. I should go to the dentist this month. I hope to have enough money to travel abroad this summer. I think this year will be better than the last one.

See you on Thursday.

Hi Laura,

I should travel more around Spain too.

I still haven't been to Asturias.

I was in Galicia once but I didn't see much of the countryside. I was there to take part in the sabotage of a fox hunting "festival": http://madteachergraham2.blogspot.com.es/2009/02/ban-hunting.html

I might go again this year.

You'll have to work really hard to get the FCE by the end of this year but it is a possibility.

You could start doing some FCE related work on your own. Remind me after class and I will give you some advice about what to do.

3. I might get a job in a school.

See you next Monday.

Hi Laura,

The FCE isn't so difficult but you need to practice a lot of the exam-style exercises.

Uhm, I've just read your coment.
I think you want to scare me.

If you could give *some advice I would be grateful.

Hi José Luis,

I have 2 students called José Luis this year.

Judging by your resolutions, I think you are the JL from my UINT class. I'm right, aren't I?

So this is your first comment on the blog. Congratulations. I hope this is the first of many. :-)

It's Jose Luis. (see my latest post - "Who is it? It's me")

I hope to get a new job. It is the most important thing for me.

I have started to go to the gym, and I would like to go at least three times a week and not give it up after just a month.

I should join a gym too. I might also try to learn to swim if I'm brave enough.

Finally, I hope to be a better person this year, and help more people who are in need.

See you tomorrow.

Hi!

It´s Nuria.

I haven´t got some unusual New Year´s resolutions. Maybe I don´t need to stop smoking, because I don´t smoke, and I don´t plan to lose weight, because I have no time to cook special food. As everyone I must start to eat healthier and give up fast food. However, I´m concerned about other things.

This year, I´ll try to improve my teaching skills to get a job at the University. Therefore, I´m going to take up a new postgraduate course in September.

I hope to carry on being healthy and studying English, because I should go to England in summer to improve my way of pronouncing.

And I must save money. My sister in law is pregnant and I will need to travel to Italy twice at least. I´m looking forward to metting the baby.

And, of course, I hope I will become a better person :)

And what about you??

Hi Graham!
It' Sara (Upint, classmate of Nuria, Laura, JL...)

- I hope to meet more time my friends, and to spend more time whit him
- I would like to pass in may, a week end with my degree fiends
- I'll try pass part of my holidays whit my brothers
- I might go skiing in february to Andorra with my friends
- And finally, but not the less important, I must find a good and interesting job

And see you tomorrow.

OMG!!!!!!!!!

I've just written a longish reply to Nuria and the comment has disappeared who knows where. I can't have clicked the publish tab.

Grrrrrrrrrr.

Excuse me while I throw some furniture around the room.

Hi Nuria,

Let's see if I have better luck this time. I said something like this:

I'm really proud of what I achieved last year. I think it shows that it is possible to keep a resolution and change your life for the better.

It's all just a matter of will.

I'm getting into jogging so I hope I will keep that up.

I might join a gym again and I've even been thinking about having swimming lessons. I can't swim so it's about time I learnt. I'd need a patient instructor.

There are a few other things that I might do but I'm not going to stress myself out over them.

I haven´t got any unusual New Year´s resolutions. I certainly don´t need to stop smoking because I don´t smoke,... Like everyone else I must start to eat healthier ...

And I must save money. My sister in law is pregnant and I will need to travel to Italy, at least twice.

Ok done a second time!

Hi Sara,

Finally, you've made it onto the blog. Congratulations! :-)

I hope this won't be your last comment.

I know you are busy with the likes of padel :-) but I'm sure you can find a few minutes to do something here.

My New Year Resolutions, even though, like Nuria, I don't smoke, I don't drink a lot, I don't have a lot of time nor the enthusiasm to start a special diet, :) are the following :
- I hope to meet my friends more often, and spend more time with them.
- I would like to spend a weekend in May with my friends from university
- I'll try to spend part of my holidays with my brothers.
- I might go skiing to Andorra in February with my friends
- And last, but by no means the least important, I must find a good, interesting job.

See you tomorrow.

HAHAHAHAHA (something like LOL??)!!

Graham, how are your furniture?? I´m proud of you! :)))

And about swimming lessons: go for it! Sometimes, to swim could be a relaxing activity, and it´s great when you can do it in the sea!

Nuria.

Hi Alicia,

We say "it's + your name" when saying hello, just like if you are speaking on the phone.
See the post:
http://madteachergraham2.blogspot.com.es/2014/01/who-is-it-its-me.html

-I'm looking forward to going to England in March!
-I doubt the polar bears will become extinct and won't die because of the heat. (I'm not sure if this is what you meant)

Hi Nuria,

how your ??

I managed to control myself in the end. I can't afford to replace things that I break.

Sometimes, swimming could be a relaxing activity, and it´s great when you can do it in the sea!

I wish I could put my head below water but I really don't know if I'll be able to .

How is your furniture?
Hi! Graham. It's Ana
I had read the post. I think it's very useful. I hope to use them more frecuently.
Marina said…
Very useful since there are a lot of the most typical mistakes.
Below my promises and hopes:

-I'd love to learn to paint with watercolours.
-I hope to visit my grand mother more often or, at least, call her daily.
-I will try to eat more vegetables.
-I would like to improve my english and feel more confident with this language-
-I hope I'll travel a lot (but not as business trip)

So, let's try it!!

Hello Marina,

Apart from my alcohol free month, I haven't made any resolutions this year. I doubt I could give up alcohol permanently though I often think about it when I am suffering from a huge hangover.

The most important resolution I made was seven or eight years ago when I became vegetarian. I haven't looked back since.

Good luck with your resolutions.
