José,

Here are your corrections:

8. You mustn't talk on your mobile while you are driving.
mustn't = can't, don't have to = not necessary

14. I'm not going to come to work next week / I'm not coming to work next week. (speaking in the office)

I'm not going (to go) to work next week. (speaking away from the office)

17. We had a great time despite the awful weather.

18. I'm sorry. I should have called you yesterday. (= it was better if I had called...)

19. Six million people live in Madrid. (one hundred, one thousand, one million, one billion)

24. I got this shirt as a present but it doesn't fit. I need a bigger size. (fit = right size)

29. How long is the train journey between from Madrid to Valencia? Is it more than 2 hours?

30. She sued the newspaper because they said she was having an affair with the king.

35. You need to have your receipt to get your money back.

36. That jacket was a waste of money. I've only worn it once since I bought it. (a waste of money = not spent well, to be worth a lot of money = has a lot of value)

39. She's a nurse. She loves her job but she hates working night shifts.

Well done!

I honestly think that you have made good progress this year - I hope that you will continue making the same big effort next year too.

Sometimes your comments were cryptic but I can see from them that you pay attention in class. What's more they were entertaining :-)

Hi Graham:

Who is glad about good of other people is a good man. The good man is an endangered species. Be careful.

When I began writing in your blog, I wasted seven or more hours to write four lines. I felt very tired and it cost too much. Nowadays I feel sure and I enjoy very much, it´s fun and funny, although I make a lot of mistakes.

I´m a bit clumsy to lear English and I´m a busy man (LOL), but you have taught me to know to learn and to study English languaje.

Thank you very much. José.

José,

You should join Nicolás and Luciti in Facebook - I think you'd like it as much as the blog.

You don't have to use your real name - I've already thought of one that you could use: "Joseph Segovia". What do you think?
