What's the difference between - I'm looking forward to ... / I look forward to ...?https://t.co/uY4etW3E0l
José: I look forward how contact with "non-existence" where there are our ancestrips and people who will come here in the future.
Graham: I haven't got my boffin hat on today. Let me try to decipher your wise words.
I know. I'll ask our friend Mr. GPT. Let's see what he suggests.
Here it is:
1. Basic Correction (Minimal changes)
I look forward to how I can contact the 'non-existence,' where our ancestors are and where the people of the future will come from.
2. Natural English (More fluent & native-sounding)
I look forward to discovering how to connect with the 'non-existence,' the place where our ancestors dwell and where future generations will emerge."
3. Poetic / Philosophical Style (Deeper and more expressive)
"I long to understand how to reach the realm of 'non-existence,' where the spirits of our ancestors reside and where the souls of those yet to come are waiting."
But remember - you look forward to something that will happen, it is different from a hope.
José: I look forward to speaking with non physical beings, like the human especies.
Graham: This doesn't make sense as humans are physical beings.
Maybe you meant:
I look forward to speaking with non-physical beings, beyond the human species. (i.e. other than humans)
José: I look forward how is a black hole
Graham: I look forward to discovering what a black hole (really) is like.
Graham: But remember - you look forward to sth that will happen, it is different from a hope.

Helena: Or I look forward not to discovering that world .... 😡
Noooo.
— English in Madrid (@madteacher72) January 12, 2023
Both refer to the future.
I'm looking forward to sth is informal. (tener ganas de)
I look forward to sth is more formal. (e.g. (at the end of a letter) I look forward to hearing from you - quedar a la espera de)
Graham: I am not looking forward to discovering that world that you are talking about.
I'm with you on this one. José is in a world.of his own. He likes to speak in a cryptic fashion. I've got used to it.
Helena: I have to get the hang of it!!!¡!¡
José: There are two possible situations only: existence and non-esistence, no more, is it clear?
We are in existence, therefore, my ancestors would be in non-existence.
José: I hope to be able to prove you that human especies is a being, an authentic being.
Ancestrips
The human especies
Graham: Crystal clear or as clear as mud - I'm not quite sure.

🏃 Story 1: The Marathon Mishap
Mia had always dreamed of running a marathon. For months, she trained every morning, rain or shine. But a week before the big race, her best friend Lily told her to give it up — “You’ve already proved you can do it,” she said.
Mia refused. She was looking forward to crossing that finish line more than anything. On race day, though, disaster struck — Lily overslept and forgot to bring Mia’s energy snacks! Mia was exhausted halfway through and felt Lily had really let her down.
Still, she pushed on. When she finally saw Lily cheering at the finish line with a handmade sign, Mia realised her friend had just been up to something — she’d organised a surprise after-party for her! On the way home, they stopped off at a bakery to buy cupcakes for everyone.
🚗 Story 2: The Road Trip Secret
Jake and Tom decided to take a road trip across the country. Jake promised he wouldn’t give up driving until they reached the coast. Tom was looking forward to relaxing in the passenger seat with snacks and music.
But halfway there, Jake’s car broke down — again. “Man, you’ve really let me down,” Tom sighed. Jake grinned suspiciously. “Maybe... but I’m actually up to something,” he said.
They stopped off at a small-town diner while waiting for help, and to Tom’s surprise, Jake proposed they turn the trip into a food vlog adventure instead. It turned out to be their best trip ever!
José: The problem, Graham, is not your speaking but my ears.
Graham: Some of these little words were difficult to catch.
José: Many thanks Graham. A good teacher has to encourage his "troops".
