Hi Graham,

This a fruit of the religion. From immemorial time, the prehistoric man invented right and wrong. Right is good and wrong is bad. The good is symbolised by God and the bad is symbolised by the Evil. In the wider world is the same. People think that the devil exists and they are afraid it. The popular imagination has created a supernatural being which is the worst and it´s very difficult to eliminate it. Spanish city of Segovia, my fellow citizens, better, just over 10% of this city population believe that. They have signed a petition for the sculpture to be cancelled.

Therefore, Satan can be neither jolly nor friendly. It can´t smile because it´s repulsive and despicable. They want to put on hold the artwork and a judge looks into whether it is offensive to Christians. The rest of population of Segovia, 90% more or less, is not important. It´s a good principle of the democracy. LOL

As said José Antonio Abella, the sculptor, Segovian people said (when I was young I heard it) that the aqueduct (the most important and beautiful bridge of the world), was done by the evil at one night. Nobody believes this, but it´s a legend. Nobody should believe that the evil exists because is a myth. I don´t mind neither the devil nor the bronze statue, but I annoy that a minority wants to impose his opinion to a majority. I love Segovia too.

See you.

Afternoon José,

This statue is one more reason to visit Segovia. It'll be like the bear in Sol Square with people queueing up to get their photo taken with it.

Hi Graham,

It´s impressive. Spain is the healthiest country in the world. Spain is number one. Italy is second. Iceland is the third and Japan is the fourth. The United Kingdom is the 19th. Factors that contribute to overall all health are: life expectancy at birth, a Mediterranean diet, the virgin olive oil, nuts and eating habits. The longest lifespan reaches at almost 86 years. I remember that a French people lived 122 years, I think this is the longest human being lifespan. Bloomberg index said that tobacco and obesity are bad to lifespan. There is a picture with bread, tomato, ham and olive oil which has good look.

This is glad for me because almost never we are on top. This must be the unique thing that we stand out about other countries. Excuse me, apart from Real Madrid which almost always wins.

After this moment of glory, I think Spain is a good country to live because Spanish people are apathetic, bit apathetic. We are indifferent with a lot of things too often. We couldn´t care less about worry. This has pluses and minuses and if you don´t feel you don´t suffer, therefore you look after your body. The sun contributes too. There is so much light. The siesta is good too because you can rest. We like play sports, what is a way to do nothing. When I tell you play sports I mean exercising and watching telly, sometimes this last is more common. We are always working although we don´t do anything, on the contrary, in other countries, they are working less but they do more things. To be continued.

See you.

Good evening Joseph,

When it comes to health, Scotland is at the bottom of the table. I've read often how we are the unhealthiest nation in the Western world. I wonder why that is.

I agree that Spain has many pluses in the livability stakes. However, I think Madrid was a more pleasant place to live in when I first came here.

Is it time to ditch the suit and tie?

Hi Graham,

I have read these three statements and, in my opinion, they said the same broadly. The young woman and the old man, Mrs Kelemen and Mr. Tarrant, have similar opinions. Perhaps, Mr. Urquhart reckons that dress code have to change with the times. These people said that it´s different thing if you go to the office or you go to the gym, for instance, because then you have to dress properly for each place. There is not point that you go to work with jeans and Hard Rock T-shirt, while the rest of your colleagues wear a suit. It´s a little aggressive.

The key is in the sentence of Mrs. Kelemen, when she said: "It depends on the image you want to project". This is the most important thing. If you are a lawyer, you can´t go to a company wearing dress down because you will give an image of not serious man. Then, the manager of the company won´t hire you. That is the same for lawyers, doctors, teachers and so on. As people see you, in this way people will treat you.

On the other hand, it´s rather wear common dresses as a suit than chinos, braces, loafers, cape, dress down, tuxedo and so on. Mr. Urquhart said that people will behave as they dress and I agree. I wouldn´t trust lawyer who wears a Hard Rock T-shirt, on the contrary, I would seem strange that my friend went to play sport with a suit.

In any case, I agree almost completely with the statement of Mr. Tarrant and therefore I want to end my comment with his phrase: "In conclusion, dress should be appropriate for the occasion".

See you.

Evening Joseph,

I agree with you (this is happening too often) that we should dress appropriately for the occasion.

I don't think you have ever seen me in a suit and tie while I can't remember seeing you in jeans and t-shirt.

It might surprise you but I would smarten up for an evening at the opera. Many others don't make the same effort and dress very casually.
