🌙 Short Story

One crisp evening, the mayor of a small town decided to take the train for half the fare to the annual autumn fair. On the way, he met a pair of travellers carrying a single pear wrapped in a delicate layer of cloth.

A wild hare darted across the tracks, giving everyone a scare. The travellers clutched their coats so tightly, the seams began to tear.

At the fairgrounds, a storyteller began to share a chilling tale of a nightmare in which a bare tree whispered to its only heir, while shadows seemed to stare from the air itself.

Nearby, a shaggy bear with tangled hair ambled lazily, too tired to dare any tricks. The mayor thought it a rare moment of peace — something worth the care to remember, even if he had nothing to spare but time to simply watch and wear a gentle smile.

✒️ Poem

Beneath the crisp and watchful air,
A shaggy bear sat bare with care.
No dare to fight, no tricks to fare,
Just resting at the autumn fair.

A strand of hair, a fleeting hare,
layered tale of dream’s nightmare.
The mayor’s voice, both strong and rare,
Spoke of a pear, a humble pair.

The crowd would stare, some hid from scare,
A fabric tear, yet hearts still share.
With none to spare, save time to wear,
The tale passed on from heir to heir.

Hi Graham,

Good work teacher! Many thanks. However, I realise that I have no idea about the pronunciation of English. I recognise that it´s a big problem to speak in English for me.

The pronunciation of suz (shoes), nuz (news) or luz (lose) is very hard. It´s true that you can´t understand but I tell it you.

You laught at me for reason of the musical scale but there are a lot Spanish people who speak very well in English and they didn´t know that the musical English scale is so instead of sol and ti instead of si.

Choose the choice you chose, or the chosen choice chooses you. If the chosen choice chooses you, then you don´t already have choice to choose another choice.

A wild hare darted across like air, giving everyone a scare and making them care.

See you.
