KLM To Offer Mile-High Dating Via Facebook
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has taken blind-dating to new heights by launching an initiative that will allow customers to pick their seat-mates on Facebook.
The pilot programme is being praised for those people who are sick of being stuck next to crying babies or the passenger from hell - or for those simply looking for mile-high love.
The airline announced its plans to start a "meet and seat" service early next year that will link travellers' Facebook and LinkedIn profiles to their check-in information.

I think is an original and at the same time absurd idea, anyway I don´t think it´s going to have a lot of acceptation by the costumers... for some people facebook is very private and they don´t want to share their information with others... or at least it will happen to me.
Have a good weekend!
I agree that it is an interesting idea but I doubt it will CATCH ON.
Imagine you WERE on a busy flight but there WAS nobody sitting next to you. How WOULD you feel?

I don’t like the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ idea. Lately, everybody wants to have everything under control. I think people are becoming more and more intransigent with the rest. Everybody knows that the perfect thing doesn’t exist but many people waste too much time looking for it and most of the times they aren’t happy with the results.
How's things? Did you survive the hols?
Let's see how long the interest in the blog continues. You were the star of the blog last year. :-)
I think this KLM idea is just a way to get publicity.
I have noticed that people aren't as friendly nowadays. I used to chat to the person sitting next to me but it's hard to get a smile from them now.

If Easyjet do it, I will participate to this "meet and seat"!!

BY THE WAY, our fave airline is going to change it's seating arrangements. Instead of A FREE FOR ALL, passengers are allocated their seats at check-in. If you want a particular seat, then you'll have to pay extra...
... and I think that it could be a funny way to get a seat FOR PEOPLE WHO FLY A LOT:-)
